B-PHOT professor Nathalie Vermeulen chairs first European Graphene Photonics workshop at SPIE Photonics Europe 2016

February 10, 2016 at 12:21

In conjunction with the SPIE Photonics Europe 2016 conference taking place in early April in Brussels, a daylong Graphene Photonics workshop will be organized, chaired by Nathalie Vermeulen of B-PHOT and Frank Koppens of ICFO.

Professor Vermeulen holds a European Research Council (ERC)-funded Starting Grant with which she develops next-generation graphene-enabled nonlinear optical devices. The speakers at the workshop will be research leaders from industry and academia addressing the prospects and potential for commercialisation of graphene technology. The event will provide those attending with valuable insights on the latest research and inspiration for developing new graphene-based products and capabilities. A rapid-presentations panel at the end of the day will feature industry leaders discussing next steps and challenges in commercialising graphene technologies.

The workshop is now also announced on the highest-rated press release website PRWeb. Further information about this announcement and about the workshop can be found on the following links:
