The Master of Photonics Science and Engineering
is the English-taught version of the Master Fotonica and is also a joint programme offered by VUB and UGent, leading to a joint degree from both institutions.
The Erasmus Mundus Master of Science in Photonics
is an international programme offered by a consortium of five universities in the context of the Erasmus Mundus programme of the European Union: UGent, VUB, Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, St-Andrews University and Heriot-Watt University, both in the United Kingdom. It leads to a double degree: each graduating student receives two degrees depending on the mobility track chosen. Students who have studied at VUB and/or at UGent receive the joint VUB-UGent degree Erasmus Mundus Master of Science in Photonics
. Students who have studied in KTH receive the degree Degree of Master of Science (Two Years) with a major in Photonics
. Students who have studied at St-Andrews and/or at Heriot-Watt receive the joint degree MSc Erasmus Mundus Masters in Photonics
