Recently Flanders’ Plastic Vision - the prime "competence cluster" supporting the Flanders-based plastics/rubber converting industry (website: http://www.plasticvision.be/nl ) - introduced an initiative that enables companies to leverage their innovation opportunities with plastic component micro-fabrication. The project focuses on the creation of new industrial supply chains like micro-fluidics and photonics in Flanders, and aims at facilitating the transfer of know-how from research institutes to companies through boot camp style business development and case-based coaching. B-PHOT will be a key-role partner in this initiative thanks to its new research and innovation pilot-line for 300 mm wafer-scale polymer micro-fluidics and its free-form polymer optics.
