Over the past years, B-Phot researchers Jürgen Van Erps, Heidi Ottevaere, Diane De Coster, Tom Verschooten, Michael Vervaeke and Hugo Thienpont have worked on the smart design and fabrication of optofluidic labs-on-chips which offer the sensitivity of laboratory-scale optical detection instruments with portability, fast response times, low sample consumption, and parallel processing and read-out. Their recent SPIE Newsroom article entitled "Photonics-enhanced polymer labs-on-chips" is currently among the top 10 most read articles .(http://spie.org/x34007.xml?WT.mc_id=MMBRNEWSE ).
