The joint research efforts of Dr. Wendy Meulebroeck (B-PHOT) and Hilde Wouters (B-PHOT and MARI) on the characterization of ancient optical glasses using portable optical spectrometers are covered by journalist Greg Blackman of the renowned magazine Electro-Optics. Their work frames in a multidisciplinary research effort of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, coordinated by Prof. Karin Nys, who leads a team of scientists and engineers composed from 4 research groups out of three faculties (MARI (LW), B-PHOT (IR), SURF (IR) and GEOL (WE)).
