Two B-PHOT alumni in top three of 'ie-net Engineering Awards'

B-PHOT R&D engineer Indy Magnus has been awarded the second prize by the jury of ie-net's Engineering Competition. He became second with his master thesis on food safety and optical spectroscopy, which he wrote last semester together with B-PHOT researchers Lien Smeesters and Martin Virte.

David De Vocht, a recent European MSc in Photonics alumnus, took the third place with his research on optimization of ultrafast amplifiers, in collaboration with his supervisor Nathalie Vermeulen. Congratulations to Indy and David!
