B-PHOT research prominently featured in VUB Science Magazine 2023

10-11-2023

The press department of Vrije Universiteit Brussel has launched a Science Magazine to showcase the important research and innovation news of the university in the past year. B-PHOT has been prominently featured with different projects.

The organ printing by VUB-UGent spin-off BIO INX and the creation of mirrors for the Einstein Telescope project in our Photonics Campus are two of the many groundbreaking projects at VUB in 2023. Also, several projects were mentioned in which B-PHOT participated, such as the VUB Racing Team and the Remobilise project.

Our Research Director and Vice Rector for Innovation and Valorisation, Prof. Hugo Thienpont, summarized: "To use scientific research as a driver of innovation and progress in our knowledge society, valorization and innovation are indispensable. Today's spin-offs and patents largely determine the economy, the industry and the society of tomorrow. Sustainability is key."
