Civil engineering students explore cutting-edge photonics labs at VUB Photonics Campus

Second-year civil engineering bachelor students from Vrije Universiteit Brussel visited the VUB Photonics Campus last week. The students toured the Photonics Innovation Center and its laboratories, where they explored various applications of optics and photonics.

Hands-on sessions included working with fluorescence microscopes, Raman spectroscopes, fiber sensors, and 3D nanofabrication techniques. The visit concluded with demonstrations from the quantum outreach kit by B-Photonics, providing the students with a comprehensive insight into advanced photonics technologies.
