Last week, a delegation from B-PHOT took part in a trade mission to Catalonia, Spain, aimed at fostering scientific collaborations between the two regions and discussing European partnerships. The delegation included Flemish Minister President Jan Jambon and B-PHOT director Hugo Thienpont.

B-PHOT researcher Nathalie Vermeulen serves as program chair for this year's Integrated Photonics Research (IPR) meeting of OPTICA. This meeting is part of the Advanced Photonics Congress taking place from 28 July to 1 August 2024 in Quebec, Canada. Conference abstracts can be submitted until 9 April.

B-PHOT PhD student Camila Castillo has won the Best Student Presentation Award at the International Symposium on Physics and Applications of Laser Dynamics 2023 (IS-PALD 2023).
