Parliamentarians Visit the VUB Photonics Innovation Campus

On Friday, March 14, Parliamentarians Stijn De Roo and Kris Poelaert visited the Photonics Innovation Campus, Pajottegem. Their focus was primarily on supporting Flemish and international companies that use photonics as a high-tech key enabling technology and its impact on the local ecosystem and European economy. The production of mirrors and optics for the Einstein Telescope Pathfinder and for space applications, projects that are key for VUB B-PHOT, was also discussed. Both policymakers showed great interest in the pilot line for extreme optics during their visit.
