'Supporting photonics within agrifood' at Agrifood Innovation Event in the Netherlands

B-PHOT researcher Lien Smeesters will be representing PhotonHub Europe at the Agrifood Innovation Event in the Netherlands on November 21st 2023. She will moderate a session on how the consortium supports photonics within the agrifood industry.
The Agrifood Innovation Event covers 3D Food Printing, Protein Transition, Smart Farming and Vertical Farming in several sessions at one location during one day. As a partner of the conference, PhotonHub Europe (coordinated by Vrije Universiteit Brussel) will host a session led by Lien Smeesters. After an introduction to PhotonHub, four partners will be elaborating on a PhotonHub-supported project:
- Ulrich Trog - Joanneum Research
- Ludovic Guilbert - GoyaLab
- Amadeu Griol Barres - Universitat Politècnica de València
- Mattias Verstuyft - UGent
"Photonics is a key technology for machine vision, sensing and detection, benefitting agrifood applications", says Dr. Smeesters. "You want to know how? Our PhotonHub session will reveal the latest developments and trends, and how they can boost your own innovation."
Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to learn, connect, and collaborate with experts from academia and industry. Alongside the conference, there will be an exhibit where companies will showcase their products and services. Come and pay a visit to the PhotonHub booth as well!
