Georg Taut

Georg Taut has been working at B-PHOT since October 2026, under the supervision of Prof. Yunfeng Nie. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Energy and Environmental Engineering and a Master's degree in Optics and Photonics, and works on optofluidic illumination and sensing for microplastic detection and hyperspectral imaging. Driven by curiosity and a passion for engineering, which took him from building bicycles to studying light, he hopes to contribute to a deeper understanding of our influence on the environment and how we can improve it.
