Simone Sorgato
Post-doc researcher
Dr. Simone Sorgato (30-06-1985) is a post-doc researcher. He graduated in Theoretical Physics at the University of Padua, Italy, in 2011 and obtained his PhD in Engineering Sciences in 2018 at VUB. During part of his PhD he worked as an Early Stage Researcher in the Spanish company Light Prescriptions Innovators, in the context of the European Marie Curie Initial Training Network ADOPSYS. His main professional interest is Optical Design for both Imaging and Nonimaging Optics, with a particular emphasis on Freeform Optics design, fabrication and industrial applications.
