Simone Sorgato

Dr. Simone Sorgato is a post-doc researcher at B-PHOT. He graduated in Theoretical Physics at the University of Padua, Italy, in 2011 and obtained his PhD in Engineering Sciences in 2018 at VUB. During his PhD he also worked as an Early Stage Researcher in the company Light Prescriptions Innovators, Spain, in the context of the European Marie Curie ITN ADOPSYS.
His main professional interest is Optical Design for both Imaging and Nonimaging Optics, with a particular emphasis on Freeform Optics design for both fundamental and industrial applications.
