Tatevik Chalyan
Dr. Tatevik Chalyan is a postdoctoral researcher at the Faculty of Engineering of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). She obtained her Master’s degree in Physics from the Yerevan State University, Armenia, in 2012. She obtained her degree of European Doctorate in Physics from the University of Trento, Italy, in July 2018.
Her research interests cover the fields of sensing, ranging from bio to quantum, towards gravitational wave detection. She is experienced in topics such as integrated photonics-based biosensors, Raman and fluorescence spectroscopy, laser engineering, and direct laser writing in polymer. Recently, she has been focused on non-classical light, working on a quantum squeezing applications. She has joined the Einstein Telescope team to develop a quantum squeezer at 2090 nm wavelength.
