Artemii Tishchenko successfully defends PhD on 'High Index Contrast Double-Clad Optical Fibers'

01.07.2024

Artemii Tishchenko has successfully defended his PhD thesis entitled 'Phase Matching Strategies in Nonlinear Frequency Conversion of Short and Ultrashort Pulses: Exploring the Role of Intermodal Interactions in High Index Contrast Double-Clad Optical Fibers' under the supervision of Prof. Francis Berghmans and Prof. Tigran Baghdasaryan.

Artemii's thesis uncovers diverse phase matching strategies for ultrashort-based nonlinear frequency conversion phenomena, such as second harmonic generation (SHG), third harmonic generation (THG) and cascaded wave mixing (CWM).

"I would like to thank all the people, friends and colleagues, who were supporting me during this chapter of my career", says Artemii. "I hope that our career paths will intersect once again in the future."
