Astghik Chalyan

PhD student

MSc. Astghik Chalyan (17-04-1993) is a PhD student within the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network – European Industrial Doctorate in xCLASS (Next generation Compact Lightsource And Spectrometer Systems) project. She will be located at Anteryon BV (NL), with secondments in Brussels Photonics Team B-PHOT at the Faculty of Engineering of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB).

She has obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from the Yerevan State University in 2013 and Master’s degree in Electronics and Nanoelectronics from the Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University in 2015, Armenia. She did an ERASMUS internship in NanoScience Laboratory at the University of Trento, where she focused on nonlinearity in strained silicon. Parallel she was involved in the European Project “IRIS” for testing an optical network on chip. In Armenia she has worked as a LabVIEW software engineer.
