Karen Danielyan

Karen Danielyan is a PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Tigran Baghdasaryan, focusing on femtosecond laser-inscribed advanced fiber Bragg grating sensors. Originally from Armenia, Karen completed Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electronics and Nanoelectronics programme at the Russian-Armenian University (RAU).In 2023, Karen was awarded the Annual Educational Award of the President of the Republic of Armenia in IT Sphere as the best master student of RAU (sponsored by Synopsys Armenia).

During the same year, Karen participated in an ERASMUS exchange in the Master of Science in Photonics Engineering programme at VUB. He also studied at 42 Yerevan, part of the renowned 42 Network, which ranks among the top 20 innovative universities worldwide by WURI. Karen aims to leverage the technical expertise and interdisciplinary skills gained through these experiences to advance their research at VUB.
