Strengthening the Belgian photonics community with bePOM 2024
A team of B-PHOT researchers will co-organise the fifth edition of the photonics networking event bePOM, hosted at Vrije Universiteit Brussel. On 19 and 20 September 2024, this free two-day event will allow early-career and established researchers to (re)discover and learn about the ongoing research topics in Belgium.
bePOM is a networking event bringing together research groups from all Belgian universities working on fundamental and applied topics in photonics. It is organised by staff from Universiteit Antwerpen, Universé de Namur, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Université de Mons, and UCLouvain. The first day of the event will be held online, while the second day will be hybrid, allowing participants to attend in person at VUB in Brussels or follow online.
The programme features a combination of academic and industrial talks, discussions, a poster session, and networking opportunities. It will focus on four topics:
- Quantum, Non-linear & Laser Optics
- Biosensing & Biophotonics: from micro- to nanoscale
- Optical Design, Manufacturing & Imaging Systems
- Nanophotonics, Plasmonics & Metamaterials
Register for the event or submit your abstract for a poster or a contributed talk on the bePOM website.
